5 Ways To Love Your Home This Spring

  1. FLOWERS/GREENERY

Nothing says springtime more than a fresh bouquet of flowers.

I treat myself to fresh flowers almost weekly from our local Farmers Market. They bring me so much joy and bring my home to life.  My personal favorites are peonies, tulips and sunflowers – although any flower is sure to bring a smile to your face!

  1. FRONT DOOR/PORCH

It’s the first thing you see when you come home. Celebrate springtime by hanging a fresh flower wreath on your door and adding a colorful, cheery doormat. Some freshly potted plants or hanging flower baskets add just the right touch. It will provide the senses with many delights!

And if you really need a fun transformation… paint your front door! It’s amazing the feeling a fresh coat of paint will bring! My favorite springtime front door colors are yellow, turquoise and mint green.

  1. PAINT

A gallon of paint is one of the easiest and least expensive tools for changing up a space. Choose a happy springtime color and paint an accent wall, a piece of furniture, or the whole room. Turn those drab winter blues into gorgeous springtime hues!

  1. ROOM ACCENTS

Living room: Change up the throw pillows on your couch to a fun bright color, update your area rug or window treatments, refresh your fireplace mantel decor or your coffee table decorations.

Kitchen: Place a vase of tulips on your kitchen table with a beautiful table runner.

Bathroom: Change out the towels to a fresh, cheery springtime color. I always bring out my yellow bath towels and bathroom mat every spring. Walking into my bathroom and seeing that bright cheery accent color always makes me smile.

Bedroom: Put on a new duvet cover that is floral or pastel colored. Your bed is the focal point of your bedroom, so that small change will make a huge difference in how you feel in your room.

  1. DECORATIONS

With spring right around the corner it’s the perfect time to bring out your floral decor; a decorative basket, a spring signs, and other knick-knacks. Anything bright, cheery and colorful will do!
