The holiday seasons are in full swing!! Have you started decorating yet?? I have seen some gorgeous decorations, and always feel a little sad because Hanukkah decorations aren’t as cute. I mean, I have tried to make some cute ones, but nothing compares to those beautifully decorated trees…am I right?!?!

So for this month’s My Dollar Store DIY, I decided to create some fun Hanukkah decorations for our mantel, in addition to some of my favorite finds from stores!!

DIY Hanukkah Decorations From The Dollar Store

Materials

  • Felt Balls (in craft section of my local Dollar Tree)
  • String (in craft section of my local Dollar Tree)
  • Needle

Tutorial

Step One

Pull out all the blue and white felt balls. I bought a few packages as there were so many colors in each one, but I only wanted blue.

Step Two

Put the string through the needle, making sure you have enough extra string on the end.

Step Three

String the felt balls. I made a random pattern with my colors, as there were many shades of blue.

Step Four

Once all the blue and white balls are on the string, measure out how long you need.

Step Five

Cut the string to the length you need and tie a knot on the end of each.

Step Six

Space the felt balls so they fill the entire string. I used about 2 finger spaces between each one.

Step Seven

Decorate around the felt balls for festive Hanukkah decorations!

I added a Happy Hanukkah banner I got from Land of Nod. I found some silver branches from our local grocery store, but Crate and Barrel has some adorable ones to add height to your Hanukkah mantel! Finally, I added our menorah with candles I found at Target!

I just love how easy this felt ball garland is to make, and that I found felt balls at my local dollar store! And there are some amazing ideas from the other bloggers included, so head to check out all their amazing project ideas below!!
