My daughter’s closet was completely transformed a few months ago, but there was one thing that I left off…adding labels to her bins on the top shelf. I kept putting it off because I didn’t love the paper I had.

So when I got this incredible paper stack from DCWV as part of the Xyron Design Team, I knew it was perfect for creating polka dot label stickers for her bedroom. The colors matched her bedroom, which are pinks, whites, and blacks. Plus, the paper is just super solid when it comes to creating custom labels.

Tutorial

Step One

Select your colors from the DCWV paper stack. I went with the black and white stripes to go on the white bins, and the pink polka dots to go on the black bins. I used light pink paper for both labels so it was clear to read.

Step Two

Cut out the label shape. You can create an oval, or use a paper cutter to cut out a specific shape. I used my Spellbinders die cuts to create this label.

Step Three

Cut out a smaller shape to go on the inside of the label. I used the smaller size of my Spellbinders die cuts, but you can create a smaller oval to get the same shape.

Step Four

Run the smaller shape through your Xyron Creative Station with Permanent Refill.

Step Five

Rub the sticker then remove the top peel.

Step Six

Adhere the smaller shape to the larger shape in the middle.

Step Seven

Write on each label using the Monotwin by Tombow pen. I love this pen because you can use the thin side to write, then use the thicker side to create a faux calligraphy look!

Step Eight

Run the entire label through the Xyron Creative Station with Permanent Refill.

Step Nine

Rub the top layer before removing.

Step Ten

Attach each sticker label to each bin.

I absolutely love how pretty the labels look with all the other elements she has going on in her room! I added a pallet art project along with paper flowers and a unicorn printable to the closet.
