I love creating decorative mantel banners. But my biggest complaint about banners is switching them out as frequently as I do. So I finally figured out how to swap out my banners quickly!! I created a switchable Halloween banner that is perfect for changing up for every party.
Switchable Halloween Banner
Using your Cricut Maker and decorative paper, cut out a banner that says “HOCUS POCUS” using the font Halloween Too. Downloaded this from dafont.com.
I created a round banner and put each letter on its own banner and swapped out the colors so it went black, orange, black, orange.
Cut a piece of twine the length of your mantel, making sure it is rather tight.
Attach the banner using the Deflecto VersaGrip Double Clip. One side of the clip should go on the twine. The other holding onto the banner.
Swap out the banner whenever you are ready for something new!
I love this idea because it is so easy to change the banner without having to remove all the twine and restring the mantel.
I also added some other fun decor to the mantel to make it festive for Halloween!
First, I added the Trick and Treat box I created. Then I put some velvet pumpkins I found at the Target Dollar Spot in the box.
I put one of the cotton vases I spray painted on the mantel, along with a candle!
After adding an orange pumpkin on top of a candlestick holder, I put a black polka-dot candle and my lantern filled with pumpkins on the other side of the mantel.
It is fun to change up the mantel and the banner!
I am still loving my pastel mantel, but since it is October, this is a nice change!
