I absolutely love kids books. They are probably my favorite type of books to read!!

Seriously!!

As a former teacher, children’s literature was one of my favorites. I love the illustrations, the stories, and the lessons that can be learned from each story.

And, since my clients know that I am a former teacher, they ask me for ways to teach their kids to stay organized. My first thing I share is to turn cleaning up into a game. Since kids’ do so well with learning through play, why not keep clean up time fun by making it a game or challenge. I typically recommend games for young kids while elementary age can be turned into a challenge to clean up faster than they did the night before. It is an easy way to help them “compete” against themselves.

And I always give them a list of my favorite kids’ books on organizing and tidying. These books are staples in our home because the stories are so good and really do teach lessons the kids pick up on.
