Eeek!!  The countdown to 2017 is approaching.  I am actually super excited for 2017 to come.   I don’t have anything crazy planned for 2017, but I am ready for a fresh start.

Sometimes I get myself so wrapped up in all the expectations that I set for myself that I forget to enjoy the moments.  So, in 2017, I am going to try to take a step back and enjoy the little things more than I typically have this year.

In order to enjoy those moments more, I need to make sure my home is organized.  I know it sounds funny, but it really helps me knowing that things are in order.

As I say good-bye to 2016 (and hello to 2017), I am sharing some of my favorite organizing posts from this past year!  And I am getting ready for a fun, new challenge starting January 1… The Get Organized Challenge!

Each week in the month of January, I will be sending a special email on how to get your home organized for 2017!  I am breaking down the entire organizing process into easy, bit-sized pieces for you, so you can get your home organized!

So let’s get started with some of my favorite posts from 2016!!

Under The Sink Organization

No joke, when I actually took the time to get under the sink organized, life became easier.  I know it sounds crazy, but it is true!  I didn’t spend as much time at night trying to find cleaning products to wipe down the counters.  Or have to go hunt for the soap.

Plus, the labels looked super cute too!

Organizing Taxes

This was a biggie!  Tax time can always be stressful, so with these helpful tips from my CPA father, I know you can keep your paperwork in order without searching for documents at the very last minute!  By keeping all your tax documents organized, you will save yourself TONS of time when it comes to April!

6 Tips For Organizing Clothes

Since we have such a small closet for both my husband and myself, keeping the space organized can be a bit of a challenge.  These 6 tips for how to organize your clothing has come in super helpful when working with that small space.

Organizing Shoes

Keeping the shoes organized has been such a game-changer in my house.  I use to keep my shoes I wore daily in the mud room.  The rest of the shoes were up in this extra closet that went to the attic.  I called it my “accessories closet”.  Well, whenever I wanted to wear a different pair of shoes, I ended up getting too lazy to go up and grab the pair, so I just wore whatever was in the mud room.

Now I have all my shoes in the mud room, so I never have to run around finding the right shoes.  They are all accessible and in the best location!

Organizational Life Hacks

I was able to speak at an event on organizational life hacks back in April.  It was so much fun to chat with the women at the event about ways to make their lives easier.  These life hacks do take time to set up, but once you have decluttered your life, these life hacks will make life so much easier!

Organizing Cleaning Caddie

Right before we moved to Minnesota for the summer, I created a cleaning caddie to use while I packed up the house.  It came in super handy when I was packing up the kitchen and our bathrooms!  I just carried the caddie around the house as I was packing/decluttering and cleaned as I went!

My Favorite Labels

If you have been a reader of my blog for any length of time, you have probably picked up on my obsession with labels.  Practically everything in our home is labeled.  I do this for a few reasons, but the main being that anyone can put something back where it came from if it is labeled!

Organizing Kitchen Linens

Organizing kitchen linens might not seem like a favorite, but I really am glad I took the time to get these linens organized!  I have used them way more that I did before, because now they are out and looking pretty!  Well, just the cloth napkins, but still!  It has helped with reducing the amount of paper products we have used, so I am thinking that’s a big win!

Organizing Miscellaneous Items

Miscellaneous items are always such a struggle!  That’s why this post about miscellaneous items is a favorite because it actually breaks down how you can organize those random items that you area always unsure of where to put them!

Looking back at all the organizing posts, I have to say that I am surprised that I still have things to write about in the realm of organizing.  I have covered practically every topic, yet I still find things to write about!  Which is why I decided to start a YouTube Channel!

Yes!! I will be making organizing and crafting videos to go along with my posts starting in January!  I have a few videos up there to get you through the rest of December, but get ready to see me YouTubing It Up!!

So if there is anything you are dying to see, comment below and let me know!!
