We are going to be spending this weekend doing laundry.  I try to do a load of laundry every day.  And try to rotate between the kids clothes and Ben and my clothes.  I have been so bad about washing, folding, and putting away everyone’s clothes this past month, that things have piled up to the point of no return.  Everybody’s clothes gets mixed up with each other and it turns into a big mess.  I try to wash the kids clothes together so that putting the clothes away is easier, since I don’t really have to sort through all the clothes, but that’s not always the case.

When this happens (and, yes, it happens a lot), I start by dumping all the clothes onto our bed.  I place all the empty laundry baskets on the floor in front of me.  Then, I start to sort the clothes.  Each basket is designated to a specific person, and one is for towels.

I just throw clothes into each persons laundry basket.  Once all the clothes are sorted, I put them away.  I try to get the kids clothes put away as quickly as possible, because I can always put our clothes away once the kids are napping.

I bring their basket into their bedroom and put away all the clothes.  I shared how I got the kids drawers and closets organized at the beginning of the month.  Keeping with that system, I put away all the kids clothes.

Then I try to get our clothes put away.  Whenever I take out our clothes from the dryer, I try to put Ben’s work clothes on top of the pile and hang them up as soon as I get upstairs with the laundry basket.  This doesn’t always happen, but since I hate ironing, I try to make it a habit so I’m not stuck ironing his dress clothes.

Now I’m off to get some laundry done as we are so close to the end of the Organize Back To School Challenge!  But that means that September is just around the corner, and I am so not ready for fall.  After cleaning out closets, drawers, and organizing the house, I realized that I have no fall clothes.  I guess I’ll have to go shopping!  Follow along via Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ for more pictures!  Use the #organizeback2school to tag your progress!
