We did it! We completed the Organize Back To School Challenge! After 30 days of organizing, we have gotten (hopefully) everything in your home organized! By completing a little every day, we got thing organized so you can spend more time playing and less time searching. Today is the day we focus on how much we have accomplished and donate all of our piles of unused/unwanted materials.
This list complied of 101 places to donate your stuff created by Miss Minimalist is amazing! She suggests to donating to a local option to keep your goods in the community. I really enjoy that approach and have found some local donation drop-offs near us that will take our stuff. It makes me happy knowing that I am able to help others with things our family doesn’t use any more. I also try to make one big trip to the donation center, instead of many small trips. And, don’t forget to take pictures of everything you donate. My CPA father always asks for the documentation, including pictures, to justify what you claim for tax purposes. Create a folder in your photo stream called “donations”, and move every picture directly into that folder. Then you don’t have to worry about where your pictures are come tax season!
Just to review all that we have accomplished for the Organize Back To School Challenge Recap, I have rounded-up every post to share with you in case you missed anything.
