I found the best homemade baby wipe recipe ever! Fellow blogger Ann Marie posted this amazing way to make baby wipes using paper towels! Since I started using these wipes, my kiddos have yet to have diaper rash! Her tutorial is amazing and I would (and have) told everyone to use this recipe to make your own wipes. I did change up one thing with making the wipes as I don’t use the baby soap. I found that the soap we have to use on our kiddos sensitive skin really wasn’t working with the wipes. I decided to add lavender drops into the mixture as a soothing agent for their sensitive bottoms. Here’s how I make my wipes!
First I start by grabbing all of my ingredients. I get the paper towels roll, coconut oil, lavender essential oils, 2 cups of water and a container.
I then cut the paper towel roll in half using a super sharp knife.
Next, I melt the coconut oil down to a liquid. I usually use 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil with a drop or two of water. I continually stir the coconut oil so it doesn’t burn over medium heat.
Once the coconut oil gets all bubbly, I mix the coconut oil and 2 cups of water in the container I am using to hold the wipes. I add in 3-4 drops of lavender essential oils and mix everything together.
Then I put one of the halves of the paper towel roll in the container.
Slowly, I push the half of the paper towel roll down into the container so I can put the lid on it. It smooshes really easily.
Finally, I put the lid on the container.
I turn the container upside down for 15-20 minutes to let all of the liquid absorb into the paper towel.
After the 15-20 minutes, I open the container and pull out the cardboard middle and ta-da! I have homemade, natural baby wipes.
Now you have homemade, natural baby wipes!
