I had one last project I wanted to complete for A’s nursery…a bow holder! She got some cute bows and headbands as presents so I wanted something that would hold them but I could easily find the bows I was looking for. I had seen a few bow holders on Pinterest that I thought were cute so I decided to make my own!
I gathered all of my materials, which included a picture frame, ribbon, sharp scissors, staple gun and hooks.
I started with a picture frame that I found at a resale shop. I removed the back and the glass, and spray painted it silver.
After going to Michael’s to find ribbon that would fit nicely in A’s nursery, I cut the ribbon longer than I needed. I then spaced out the ribbons on the back of the picture frame.
Using my staple gun, I folded the ribbon a few times on the top of the frame and stapled the middle of the ribbon first, then stapled the ribbon a few more times to make sure the ribbon won’t fall off. I didn’t staple the ribbon at the bottom because I wanted it to move freely so I could take the bows on and off of the ribbon easily.
Once all of the ribbons were stapled, I cut the bottom of the ribbon by folding the ribbon in half and cutting using a sharp scissors.
Lastly, I added three hooks to the bottom of the frame to hold the headbands.
I decided to hang up the picture frame bow holder using 3M picture frame hooks. This way, I can move the bow holder around her room when I redecorate, because, let’s face it, I love rearranging things!
