Spring is in the air! And with all my spring cleaning, I am in the mood to decorate! So I created this spring mantel decor to go with my spring cleaning. But wanted to go pink and bold, because I am very over the dull colors I used for winter!
Pretty In Pink Spring Mantel Decor
- Xyron Creative Station with Permanent Adhesive Refill
- Bright, Pink Paper
- White Paper
- Glue Gun
- White Clothespins
Start by taking one piece of notepad paper and folding it in half. Cut out a triangle. Use this notepad paper as a template for your banner!
Cut the paper to the size of the template. For this project, I made 12 banners using the template.
I used glitter paper, but if you can’t find the exact type of glitter paper you need, then just run white paper through the Xyron Creative Station and cover it with glitter in the desired color!! Also spray with hair spray to ensure the glitter doesn’t fall!!
Then cut a few other pieces of paper a little smaller to add to the larger banners. I used some clear paper to add some interesting texture to the banners.
Run the smaller banner pieces through the Xyron Creative Station. Make sure to rub the paper before you remove the stickers. Then adhere to the larger banners.
Cut out a large circle with the white paper. Then cut out a snake from the circle. Roll the paper and glue together. Then glue to the banner. (Or you can cut out the paper using your paper cutter)
Using the twine, hang from mantel. Then add the banner pieces with the clothespins.
Add some floral accents to the mantel. I used spray painted hot chocolate jars with flowers, along with some plants. I like to keep things in odd numbers when I style the mantel. So one side has three items, while the other has one.
I am just loving how bright and bold this pretty in pink spring mantel has turned out! The pops of pink really make it feel like spring after this long winter. Plus the flowers on the pink banner makes me really feel like spring!
