How To Decide If Something Is Worth Buying?
But how do you decide what is necessary and what is an unnecessary purchase?
I always start by loading up the Amazon cart with everything I think looks good or may want. I don’t buy anything. Just put it in my cart.
The next day (or in a few days) I will go through the cart and decide if I actually want the item. This is my all-time favorite trick to not over-consuming. And instead being a conscious shopper!
Because Amazon Black Friday is a week long, spend time on day 1 looking for everything. This will give you time to decide if it is necessary. Just add to the cart.
Then go back later, after the initial dopamine high is over, to decide if that shirt is worth your money.
Read the reviews. See the percentage of returns on that particular item! That has helped me decide if I am on the fence.
My Favorites Items For The Kitchen From Amazon Black Friday 2024
So all the items I am sharing are home items we currently have and/or use. I really hate buying things and then not using them, so these all have my seal of approval. The only thing we did replace was the toaster over for the updated version. The old toaster stopped working. Otherwise we’d still have it!
My husband loves sous vide meats, so this little gadget helps so much! It really isn’t difficult to do…I can do it, so you know anyone can. If you have someone who loves getting sous vide steaks at restaurant’s, maybe try your hand at making it at home for less!
This mixer is my favorite. I love how sturdy it is. And it is really heavy but has held up with a move and being pulled out to make cookies frequently!
Our coffee maker is what I look forward to seeing in the morning. Without it, I would be cranky. And this particular machine makes cold brew coffee, which is a favorite of my husband’s. And that is why we got it!
I was not on the air fryer bandwagon until recently. But it has been the best to make crescents in like 6 minutes! We use it almost daily!
I am not great with knives. Which is why this dicer contraption was such a gift. I use it to cut onions (and I don’t cry), pepper slices, and potatoes. I haven’t tried the zucchini noodle attachment, but I heard it works!
We don’t use non-stick pans and have replaced all of our old ones with new ones over time. We love these!

This one is probably a silly thing, but we love this speaker for when we are at the beach or the pool. It just pops in my beach bag and connects to my phone. And the sound quality is great!
We are big fans of the Roku. It helps us with all the apps for streaming services. And it’s really easy to bring with us when we travel.
This is the computer my husband has and really likes it for personal use. It’s lightweight for traveling and can be flexible when watching a show.
These cord holders and how I hide cords around the house. You can stick them to the bottom of desks and the cords just clip in. It is easy to remove the cord without extra velcro or buttons to make the cords stay in place if you need to take the cord with you.

Up first is his mouse. He loves this for all his computer devices.
This is his favorite keyboard. We have many. Each kiddo has one for their computers because it is easy to type on and really easy to clean.
To say that Ben has tried a few headphones may be an understatement. Because I go to bed early, and he likes to stay up and watch shows, he needs something that cancels out noise. And these do the trick!
Ben does most of the yard work, and these are his go to products for keeping the yard looking good. And I have to say, the leaf blower is amazing. If I am planting and get dirt all over, it’s really easy to blow the dirt away with the blower.
Ben is a stickler for lighting. And making everything automated is a goal of his. He works in technology so this is his biggest thing about working smarter…with smart lights. And these light switches make everything automatic.
