Not sure what to do with your clutter? We are tackling how you can decide whether to donate, dump or sell your stuff!
How Can I Decide What To Keep?
When it comes to deciding what to keep and what to dump, donate or sell, I recommend asking yourself declutter questions. This will give you a clear idea of your motives behind what you want to keep and what you can part with.

Should I Donate?
So I cannot answer this question for you. Instead you have to ask yourself if you can commit to finding an organization that can take your stuff.
You need to think about local organizations that support your believes, and ways you can live a more sustainable life. These are good reasons to donate to local organizations.
How To Donate?
First find a local donation center near you. You can Google “donation center near me” or include your zip code to find a donation center. Then call or check website to see what they are taking at this time. Make a list of all the items they are taking so you can make sure that you are donating what they are accepting.
You can also create a spot for all donations in your home. This is like a collection spot. Then once that spot is full, you can donate the items inside that box or bag. Everyone in your family can put their donations in that one location. Making it easy for you to collect and donate.

Declutter Like A Pro Toolkit
With the right tools in place, decluttering can be an incredibly effective process to reducing unwanted things in your home…and it can be easier than you think.
The Declutter Like A Pro Toolkit takes the guess-work out of the decluttering process. Instead of wondering if you may need an item one day, you will gain clear focus on how to differentiate what you need versus what you feel like you should keep. Plus you get a giant list of where to donate all those unwanted items, so you know they are going to a good cause.
Should I Sell?
Again, another question I cannot help with. It is something that you have to answer on your own.
So ask yourself if you are able to commit to selling items on different sites, then shipping that item? There is a lot to go through when selling, so if you are up for it, then do it!

How To Sell?
There are many places online you can sell like Facebook Marketplace, ThredUp, Postmark, Tradesy.
You can also take the items to a local consignment shop. Just note that they do take a percentage of what you are selling.
When selling online, take pictures by natural light. Set up your photo spot near a window or door. Use white poster board as a backdrop. Then lay your items out on the poster board. Take the picture over the top of the item.
Add lots of information in description so the potential buyer knows what you are selling.
Set deadline for when it will sell post it notes on items. I like to keep items up for about two weeks. After the two weeks, if the item is still sitting around, I will donate it. This timeframe helps you from allowing things to pile up in your home.
Donate Or Sell Your Clutter
No matter which option you choose, you need to feel confident in your decisions.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed, just go with your gut!
