Today’s strategy to reduce the overwhelm while decluttering is one of my favorites – Declutter Questions! Conquer clutter with ease with the declutter questions.

Show Notes
There are things you need to think about when you are removing items from your home. These can be posed as questions to help you with the process.
Declutter questions allow you to stop, think, and evaluate before removing those items. This strategy can help to minimize the regret you may feel after decluttering items in your home.
So, what are declutter questions?
They are a way to focus on the need and necessity of an item versus just seeing it and making the immediate decision to get rid of it. The questions cause you to stop and think about the decision instead of making rash decisions you could regret later.
My favorite questions I like to ask:
- Have I used this item in the last year (or six months)?
- Have you admired this item in the last year?
- Can you replace the item for less than $20?
- Are you keeping this item out of guilt?

When organizing and decluttering your home, you need to think through all the items so that you can surround yourself with things that you love.
This will calm your nervous system and allow you to relax more in your space.
