Welcome back! On this week’s episode of Organizing Tune-Ups, we will tackle micro-decluttering.

Show Notes
So, what is micro-decluttering? Micro-decluttering is a strategy where you use small amounts of time to remove items from a space. It is a way to streamline the decluttering process without doing a massive decluttering project. This strategy will benefit people who struggle with getting overwhelmed whenever they start a sizeable decluttering project.
Do you feel like you “just don’t have enough time or mental capacity” for decluttering? This is a great option for you, too!
Since you will only be decluttering for 15-20 minutes, it is imperative that you start with a solid plan. A plan allows you to be more strategic. Remember, small organizing every day is what is going to work in this strategy.
The first step is to create your plan. Don’t be mistaken; the plan can be very simple. You can easily start with clearing off the counters in your kitchen.
Once you have decided what you want to accomplish, set your timer for 15 or 20 minutes. Start decluttering. When the timer goes off, stop. Yes, it is that simple. That is your micro-declutter for the day.
You will repeat this each day. Small, actionable steps make a big difference.
Think of micro-decluttering as tiny habit changes that will help you to keep your area tidy!
