Show Notes On Procrastination In Organizing
Do you feel like you procrastinate on everything? I will share 4 of my favorite ways to battle procrastination, specifically in organizing. Even though our discussion today will be around organizing, you can use these strategies in all areas of your life!
So, you know you need to organize, but you don’t have the motivation?
1. Make a plan that includes the time and date you will complete the task. Make this super specific. Write it down, tell a friend for accountability, etc.
What I like to do when things get super overhwleming, is to write down all the tasks, hang them up, and then spin around and pick one. You can do the same thing for date and time. Making it a game helps to make it a little more fun!
2. Plan a reward for when you have completed the project. Have a favorite food or snack? Use that!
3. Be really specific about what done looks like for the task. Set a specific number of clothes or cabinets you want to go through.
4. I mentioned this previously, but have someone hold you accountable to completing the task. It can be a friend, family member, etc.
Let me know which one works best for you, or if you have others that have worked!
Happy Organizing!
